Somethign like this shouldnt be a skill for which you need to waste skill points. Wheny you played through the game, played through Hearts of Stones and get to the mutation system of B&W, you cearly realize, how extremely underdeveloped the whole combat system of this game is from begin on, how much of a chaotic mess it is, because so less thigns really fit together, are plain obsolete or overpowered in one way or another or in the worst case just only very situationally useful in one moment of the game, and then you need from point x on basically skilll y never againįor example that sign skil lthat enables you to get more chocie options for axii, becomes from the moment on useless, once you have never again any choice options in the game once you have played through the game.

Stuff like regenerating slowly health at daytime and havign slightly more Health (+500 LOL) should be baselined (at least when playing certain difficulty grades, not under DM) I made a suggestion some tiem ago about completely reworkign the skil lsystem, where I tried as good as possible to integrate all the general effects into the other categories.Įxamplle turning the 3 school skills into 'Stances' and lettign Stances become a new skill category under sword combat, because thats where these skilsl actually belong to.

Mostly all of the general skills have partwise to do with these 3 things and shoudl get better integrated into these 3 categories.Įverythign that can't get integrated shoudl become a general baselined ability of Gerat, that he learns automatically over the course of the game, or through readign books, or talking with spoecific npcs who teach them these things. There shouldnt exist General skills, just only Sword Combat ,Signs and Alchemy. The whole skill system needs a redesign and rebalancing as part of the games character developmentstem, which is a complete mess right now with tons of effects that are plain simpyl useless or partwise overpowered on the other side of the medal.

The general skills in my opinino shouldnt be all skilsl that we need to slot anywhere, the general skilsl should be all somethign that Geralt simply learns and has passively always active the moment you learn them.
